Requesting a resale certificate (unit sales & transfers)
When a unit owner other than the declarant sells or transfers a unit, Texas Property Code §82.157 (Resale of Unit) requires the Association to furnish a current resale certificate — including the Association's operating budget and the statutorily required statements of assessments and unpaid amounts, fees, reserves, capital expenditures, judgments and pending suits, insurance, and known violations. Owners, listing agents, and title companies can request that certificate (and a statement of the seller's account) using the button below.

A statutory fee applies (capped by Tex. Prop. Code §82.157); the certificate is prepared within the three-month currency window the statute requires.
